Runner beans veggie/ لوبيه بزيت

  • 1/2 kg runner beans
  • 2 medium onions
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 red tomato
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

    Prepare the Beans:
    1. Wash the runner beans thoroughly.
    2. Trim the ends and cut the beans into bite-sized pieces.
    Chop the Vegetables:
    1. Finely chop the onions.
    2. Mince the garlic cloves.
    3. Dice the tomatoes.
    Cook the Vegetables:
    1. Heat a large pan over medium heat.
    2. Add a splash of oil and sauté the onions until they become translucent.
    3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
    4. Add the prepared runner beans to the pan.
    5. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
    Add the Tomatoes:
    1. Stir in the diced tomatoes.
    2. Cook until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
    3. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the beans are tender, you can add water if needed.
    4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    5. Serve warm as a side dish or a light main course.
